VRE WOODBRIDGE STATION EXPANSION
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is soliciting bids to deliver and complete the construction of station expansion elements at the VRE Woodbridge Station located in Woodbridge, Virginia. The station expansion shall include a Pedestrian Bridge, Elevator/Stair Tower, Route 1 Improvements including a Bus Turn-out (Base Bid), Shifting of Mainline Track (Alternate 1), Removable Inter-Track Fence (Alternate 2), and Slab-on-Grade Platform with Canopy (Alternate 3).
Bids will be considered from qualified and experienced firms who are regularly established in the delivery of qualified and certified labor, materials, equipment, permits, and licenses to purchase, deliver and complete the construction of station expansion elements. Through prior work performed, Bidders must be able to show evidence of reliability, ability and experience.
The IFB will be available beginning February 1, 2008, from the VRE website at http://www.vre.org. At the website, select “Procurement”.
An optional pre-bid meeting will be held on February 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. EST, at Virginia Railway Express, 1500 King Street, Suite 202, Alexandria, VA 22314.
If potential Bidders are accessing a copy of the IFB via VRE’s website, be advised that it is your responsibility to monitor this site for any amendments. Failure to submit signed amendments may be grounds to declare your bid non-responsive. The IFB can be printed and submitted the same as a regular solicitation. If there is a question about the closing date, the date printed on the IFB is the most current.
Bids are due March 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. EST.
