REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) #09-014

The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is soliciting proposals to establish one (1) or two (2) Contracts with qualified and experienced firms to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, transportation and have sufficient financial resources to perform maintenance and custodial services for VRE facilities to include commuter rail stations, parking facilities and offices.

Proposals will be considered from qualified and experienced firms who are regularly established in the business of facilities maintenance and custodial services.  Through prior work performed, Offerors must be able to show evidence of reliability, ability, experience, equipment and personnel to perform the work.

The RFP will be available beginning June 24, 2009 from the VRE website at http://www.vre.org.  At the website, select “About the VRE” then select “Procurement”. 

If potential Offerors are accessing a copy of the RFP via VRE’s website, be advised that it is your responsibility to monitor this site for any amendments.  Failure to submit signed amendments may be grounds to declare your proposal non-responsive.  The RFP can be printed and submitted the same as a regular solicitation.  If there is a question about the closing date, the date printed on the RFP is the most current.

A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on July 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. EST, at Virginia Railway Express, 1500 King Street, Suite 202, Alexandria, VA 22314.

Proposals are due July 31, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. EST.
