Completed Capital Improvement Projects include:

Fredericksburg Station Infrastructure Repairs	VRE renovated the station structure to address delaminated concrete at the underside of the elevated track and platform structure. The effort focused on areas susceptible to pedestrian traffic.
Broad Run Station Platform Extension	VRE constructed a 190-ft. platform extension east of the existing platform.

Delivery of LED Lighting for the VRE Backlick Road and Franconia-Springfield Stations	VRE installed light emitting diode (LED) lighting at the Backlick Road and Franconia-Springfield VRE Stations. By changing the lighting system to LED, utility and maintenance costs will be reduced substantially.
