VRE Reduced Fare Identification Card

Reduced Fares ID

Starting Monday, November 16th, persons with disabilities purchasing reduced fare tickets must present a VRE-issued Reduced Fare ID card as identification. Previous forms of identification will no longer be accepted at vendors.

There will be several options to have photos taken for the VRE Reduced Fare ID:

At the inner-city stations
At the VRE Headquarters

Prior to having your ID picture taken, passengers must complete a Reduced Fare ID Application as part of this form needs to be completed by a physician. Please allow 2 weeks for the ID to arrive.

VRE Headquarters

Riders may also stop by the VRE Headquarters to hand in their applications and have their ID photo taken between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm. We ask that all riders using this option, contact us first.
