VRE Train Consists
VRE currently has 75 cars in service. Our coaches exclusively consist
of Gallery-style cars.
This page will aid you in finding the perfect train for your commute.
The chart below indicates how many cars and ridership for each train. Since ridership
is traditionally lower on Mondays and Fridays, the column for "Current
Midweek Ridership" is a monthly average of ridership for that train
on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Similar to the notation for the
train pair, the number at the beginning indicates the ridership for
the first train of the pair, while the second indicates the ridership
for the second train of the pair, and so forth.
