Train 310 - delayed 79 minutes into Union Station due to mechanical problems casuing a late departure from the train yard south of Fredericksburg, following two CSX freight trains from Leeland Road to Rippon, holding for flagman near Crystal City and holding at L'Enfant due to congestion in Union Station. FRCs were distributed on board to those delayed 60 or more minutes.

Train 321 - delayed 8 minutes into Broad Run due to late arriving equipment (#322), waiting for dispatcher permission to proceed at L'Enfant and holding for signals south of Manassas.
Train 322 - delayed 15 minutes into Union Station due to slippery rails causing the train to bypass the Backlick Road station platform. Consequently, the train lost time as it had to reverse to the station to board/detrain passengers.
Train 324 - delayed 9 minutes into Union Station due to holding for a signal north of Backlick Road and waiting for dispatcher permission to proceed at interlocking (AF) south of Alexandria.

Morning Service

About 6:00 am, Amtrak train 98 struck a person north of the Rippon station. Consequently, CSX halted all rail traffic for police investigation into the incident. Fortunately, there was only an injury, not a fatality and the railroad was re-opened around 6:50 am. This temporary service dispruption affected the Fredericksburg line service as trains stacked up at points south of Rippon until the railroad was cleared for traffic.

Train 302 - delayed 35 minutes into Union Station due to temporary speed restrictions near Brooke, waiting near Rippon for railroad to be cleared for traffic, and longer than usual station dwell time for passengers boarding/detraining at Crystal City.
Train 304 - delayed 22 mintes into Union Station due to longer than usual station dwell times for passengers boarding/detraining, temporary speed restrictions near Brooke and Rippon and following train #302 from Rippon to Union Station.
Train 306 - delayed 38 minutes into Union Station due to being held at Fredericksburg for railroad to be cleared for traffic and difficulty stowing the wheelchair lift at the station.
Train 308 - delayed 11 minutes into Union Station due to following #306 from Fredericksburg to Leeland Road and temporary speed restrictions near Brooke and Rippon.
