Manassas Parking Information

Parking is free for commuters at this station. However, riders will need a FREE commuter parking permit to park in all commuter lots, but are not required to be residents of Manassas City.

The City of Manassas has imposed restrictions on some of the outlying parking lots. Please view the Map of Manassas Parking Locations for additional information.

Currently, there are a total of 683 parking spaces available at the Manassas station. As of September 2012, parking at this station was at 86%.

While local police departments randomly perform checks in our lots, parking is at your own risk. Overnight parking is not permitted in all locations.

OLD TOWN PARKING

• In Front of Railroad Depot: General Parking (4Hr Public Parking 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Mon-Friday) and unrestricted parking at other times. ADA individuals, with vehicles exceeding the height requirement for the garage, may also park in this lot as long as they have a commuter parking permit.
• Parking Garage: Commuters parking in the garage are permitted to park on levels 1 through 3 only (this excludes the ramp between the 3rd and 4th levels). There are 320 commuter parking spaces available on a first come first serve basis during commuter hours Monday - Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Commuters will need to obtain a Red permit from the Treasurer's Office to park on these spaces. The Upper two floors of the garage will be reserved for General Parking (4Hr Public Parking 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Mon - Friday). Parking in the deck is unrestricted evenings, weekends, holidays and times other than restricted times specified on parking signage.
• Also, the City of Manassas has instituted a pay-by-numbered space system that takes credit cards only. The cost is $4.50 per day (from 5am to Midnight) for anyone parking on the 4th or 5th levels of the parking garage. There will be payment kiosks located on the 4th and 5th level exits. In addition, there are 30 unnumbered spaces on the 5th level that will remain 4 hour parking spaces. There is signage indicating these changes in the garage. This does not affect any of the current VRE parking spaces at this station.
• Triangular Lot: There are 32 spaces available in this lot (Main Street and Prince William Street) for permit holding commuters that are City of Manassas residents only. This lot may be used for City residents with vehicles exceeding the 7ft height restriction in the garage.
• Street Parking: Commuters are still permitted to park on the street as long as they hold a City of Manassas Parking Permit.
