Burke Centre Garage Construction Parking Information
updated February 8, 2007
Anyone expecting to use this station after 7:00a will need to use the shuttle buses. Their routes have been designed to accommodate all of our morning trains except the first one and all of our evening trains. While this may add some time to your commute, it will be well worth it. Riders using the shuttles are eligible for 20% of their monthly VRE ticket costs (see below).
For those of you who park at the station, please make note of the following reminders:
1) Drive SLOWLY in the lot - There will be a new traffic pattern that increases pedestrian traffic, as well.
2) Park in designated spaces only - If you "create" your own spot, you run the risk of being ticketed or towed. Fairfax County will tow anyone blocking the construction entrance.
3) The pedestrian walkway is on the far side of the lot, behind the orange fencing. The gravel path will keep you out of the narrow aisle that cars and shuttle buses will be using to get to the platform.

Library Shuttle Information
118 spaces are available for parking at the future Burke Library site (Freds Oak Road at Fairfax County Parkway). A library shuttle will provide free service between the VRE station and the library lot. The shuttle will meet every train, except the first morning train.
St. Mary's Church Lot
On December 4, 2006 a second satellite parking facility will open for passenger use. This lot will have approximately 100 spaces and be located at St. Mary's Church at Zion Drive and Sideburn Road.
EZ Bus
Another option for some Burke area residents is the Burke Centre EZ Bus, a free neighborhood shuttle service to the Burke Centre station.
