OmniRide Launches Real-Time App

OmniRide now has its own mobile app to provide passengers with real-time bus arrival information and updates. The OmniRide app, which was developed by Ride Systems, is free and can be found by searching for OmniRide in your mobile device’s app store.

The app has a bus tracker that enables riders to see a map with an icon showing the exact location of their bus and predicting the actual arrival time of the bus at all but the first bus stop along the route. This fall the app will be updated so that all OmniRide buses – including those that are not yet picking up passengers – will be tracked. 

Real-time OmniRide bus information also is available on Google Transit. Use Google Transit to see how you can take a FREE OmniRide shuttle to catch a VRE train.

VRE's Ticket Exchange Policy

Ten-Trip, Five-Day, Round-Trip, Step-Up and Single-Ride Tickets are non-refundable. However, in some cases, we can make exchanges.

VRE Onboard Bicycle Policy

Bicycles are sometimes a point of contention onboard our trains. On one hand some think that we don't allow enough bicycles. Unfortunately, due to heavy crowding there is simply no room at this time to provide enough space for full sized bicycles on most of our trains.

Mobile Tickets

Aside from ticket purchase, VRE Mobile comes in handy when it comes time to validate a ticket. Validating a ticket, the process of applying the value of one ride from a ticket to that current trip on a train, is mandatory before starting a trip.
