The 6th Annual Tour de VRE is on October 3, 2026. Route maps and additional information coming soon!

This year marks the 6th Annual Tour de VRE. This year’s ride will cover VRE’s Manassas Line with a ride from Backlick Road Station in Fairfax County to Broad Run Station in Prince William County. Along the way we will visit the communities VRE serves, including Springfield, Burke, Clifton, Manassas Park, and Manassas.

🏁 Ride Information at-a-Glance

35-Mile Ride

8-Mile Ride

9:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Event Rules:

Helmets are required at all times for the ride, no exceptions.
Liability waiver is required and all riders fill this out during registration.
Children 13-17 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Ride Day Agenda:

8:00 a.m. – VRE Train departs Broad Run towards start line. Bus transportation departs Rosslyn towards start line.

8:30 – Bus arrives at Backlick.

8:45 – 9:00 a.m. – Pre-ride briefing at Backlick Station.

9:00 a.m. – Group start at Backlick Station.

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Ride complete at Broad Run. Food, fun, music, beverages, lawn games, and camaraderie at VRE station parking lot.

1:30 p.m. – Return transportation departs Broad Run.

Know Before You Go: Transportation to Start Line

Train Transportation: Participants can arrive at either end of the ride route. In the morning, a VRE train will depart Broad Run and travations along the Manassas Line between Broad Run and Backlick. After conclusion of the event, the VRE train will provide transportation north to Backlick, again stopping at each of the VRE stations along the way. View a map of the VRE Manassas Line.

Bus Transportation: A DASH bus will provide transportation from Rossyln and the King St. Metro Station in Alexandria to Backlick Station in the morning, and from Backlick to King St. and Rossyln after the event. Schedule details forthcoming.
